This issue (the "pop" or "click" at the beginning of each song in jukebox mode) is affecting me as well. I'm currently running an Ubuntu server as my jukebox which outputs to my stereo. Switching to windows the click is still present.

Why is this happening?

Bump!

I would really like to see the "click" at the beginning of every song in jukebox mode fixed.

I have the same 'click' issue. It is the last issue I have to get resolved in Subsonic.
Does Madsonic have the same problem?

Hi I have the same issue, a tiny click at the start of each new track in Jukebox mode. USB DAC (Musical Fidelity M1DAC) connected to the server. It appears the Jukebox closes and reopens the audio device between tracks. I can see this as the frequency light goes out momentarily on the dac between tracks. I understand this may be a difficult fix as if you have playlist of songs with different sample rates the jukebox must first change sample rate of the soundcard to play the next track. However programs like Foobar handle this very well without a click and can perform gapless. I suspect this might be a limitation of Java? Would a short 50ms fade in a beginning of each track solve this? Can this be done in Java?
