Ejecting CD drive crashes Firefox when Subsonic page is open

Postby afalout » Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:45 am

Hi *,

as per subject; at first I thought it was a coincidence, but I every time I have Subsonic open in Firefox (Linux), and press eject on the CD drive, the Firefox instantly crashes.

If I close the tab where Subsonic is loaded, no issues at all. Tried with Firefox 3 and today with 3.5.1

Firefox exits with:

D> Timing thread - wake up
*** glibc detected *** /usr/lib64/firefox/firefox: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x000000000484cb00 ***

or:

(process:14424): GLib-ERROR (recursed) **: gmem.c:136: failed to allocate 24 bytes
aborting...

Is anyone else experiencing this?
What can be done?

Thanks,

Not reproducible on my Fedora 11 running subsonic 3.7 and firefox 3.5.
Currently without Subsonic due to hardware failure :(

I thought it might have something to do with PulseAudio and ndiswarpers (64 bit browser) and 32 bit Flash, so I removed all this and installed native 64 bit Flash.... now Firefox crashes every time I eject USB CD/DVD drive - with Subsonic open or not... great improvement :-(

Same error:

(process:21266): GLib-ERROR (recursed) **: gmem.c:136: failed to allocate 24 bytes
aborting...
/usr/bin/firefox: line 126: 21266 Aborted $MOZ_PROGRAM "$@"

So I guess it has nothing to with Subsonic.
