5.1.beta1 503 page "Value too long"

Hi,

I've just upgraded to 5.1.beta1 and I got a 503 error message when trying to access anything in Subsonic (cannot login, don't get any page except the error page).

I just get:

HTTP ERROR: 503

SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE

RequestURI=/

Powered by jetty://

Can somebody help?

p.s.: I've tried to recreate the DB already, but the script is way too long to paste and I really want to keep my podcasts and such.

I had the same issue and I found, IMHO, the best compromise.

As your log file says, you have an error in the subsonic.script file at line 3189, with a "Value too long" error. And there are probably other lines with the same issue.
To solve it, I have removed the line and restarted subsonic. It crashed once again on an other line. So I had to repeat the operation until subsonic restart properly.
In my case, I had to remove 2 lines to be good.

This solution avoids to completely reset the database and to lose the whole configuration.

I hope it will help you or any other person with the same issue.
