Cant for the life of my get remote access iMac 10.6.8

Hello everyone,
i really want this app to work and would love to pay for the subscription but im having trouble even getting it working before the trial runs out.
Im using an iMac 10.6.8 with subsonic version 5.1 because like others have found out the 5.2 does not work with that os.
Ive got a DIR-655 and opened the necessary ports (even tried Virtual Server ports instead as some others have done).
The network page confirms ports are open but "connection timed out"

please any advice on how to get this up and running because chromecast does not have audiosupport for android yet. :S

Are you running any firewall or network monitoring utilities like Little Snitch?
