non-audio file extensions being catalogued

Hi. It seems that subsonic is finding .html files where I do, indeed, have some books mixed in with music. Is there a way to specify which extensions the media lookup service should NOT look for like jpg, html, ect? I just want mp3s and other audio/video files to be found.
