Got HTTP range: 0- when using HTML5 player

Postby df1z » Thu Jul 16, 2015 3:38 pm

I recently uninstalled Flash and was playing Subsonic 5.2.1 in Firefox 39.0 via the HTML5 player. I also scrobble to Last.fm through Subsonic (this is only partially related).

I noticed Got HTTP range: 0- errors in the log and whenever a song was played, it would be scrobbled twice. This only occurs when using the HTML5 player. This is what the log looks like. Yes, I'm transcoding down to 128k. I get the same results without transcoding.

Note: I'm running Subsonic 5.2.1 on Ubuntu Server 14.04.2. I get the same errors with Subsonic 5.2.1 running on a Windows server.

Yeah Ive been seeing the same thing with the html5 player. It works, but seems out it does it that way. Also I am having random issues where it will just stop playing and I have to constantly press play to keep whatever is in my playlist to continue playing.

I have seen this too. Before re-installing Flash and while using the HTML5 player, songs would occasionally stop a second before the end of the song. I'd have to manually click the next track in the playlist or use the next track (arrow) controls.
