Increasing number of files won't play as Subsonic is updated

I know others have posted, but previously playable MP3s are now ceasing to function in Subsonic. The playback works fine for the fist few seconds (up to 4) then suddenly dies and the player shows a play time of 0:00. I can restart playback all I want, but it always stops at the same point.

I can play other mp3's just fine, but certain ones always do this (and their numbers grow each time I update Subsonic)

I've also tried repairing the mp3 files, but that doesn't help. Like others have posted on the forums - other media players work just fine (I've tried VLC, WMPC, WMP, WinAmp)

Getting really frustrated about this problem. I may have to find another media player and give up on Subsonic at this point.
