Set up on new server fails

I had Subsonic server running on a marginal machine but had tons of problems. I installed on a new machine (Premium Subsonic purchased) and used the pre existing key. The server is up and running but after indexing, shows 1116 artists 2503 albums 30,000 songs and 222 Gig of material in the left hand Subsonic server app column. Both apps I used show no files or folders but connect to the server. I thought originally it was a marginal slow server I had but this is now on a machine with i5 processor@2.7Ghz. and 8 gig of RAM with internet connection speed of 120Meg down 48 Meg up. When trying to connect to server with 2 different phone apps it shows zero folders (iSUB & PlaySub). This is frustrating and I cannot find help anywhere. Anyone here able to help ?

Possibly a permissions issue? Even admin needs permissions in Settings-Users.
