Display Songs on startpage (Most played, added)

Dear Forum,
first excuse my bad english. I want to display the Songs on Startpage for example "Recently added"," Most played","Recently played" is always empty.
In the Demoversion is it visible directly on the Startpage. I always see the Text

"Welcome to Subsonic!
Subsonic is a free, web-based media streamer, providing ubiquitous access to your music. ", but no Songs.

What can i do?
