[SOLVED] Search fail

I am intermittently getting an issue where if I search for an artist, I get no ARTIST results (I do get song and album results).

For example:
Search for Rihanna in my system - several songs and albums show up. No artists match.

I go to db.view and search the ARTISTS table for Rihanna - I get the result showing 9 albums.

This is only one of a few examples I've found.

Since there was no reply to this I must assume no one else is having this problem... however you will if you have this folder structure:

Artist
-Folder 1
--Songs
-Folder 2
--Songs
-Folder 3
--Songs
-Song 1

Basically loose songs in the base folder of the artist (including if there are NO other folders). This causes the artist not to be searchable. If you just have folders under the artist like I changed it to and rescanned - all of a sudden everything started working for that artist.

This seems like the kind of thing that should be fixed, no?
