webplayer + m4a + h264

I have tried running both Subsonic 3.7 and the latest 3.8 beta. On both versions I can not play m4a and h264 files with the embeded flash player. The same files however, do work in Subsonic 3.6 which is the current version I'm currently running. Platform is
Mac OS X 10.5.6
Tomcat5
Running over https:// (self signed certificate)

In version 3.7 and 3.8 the log indicates that the file is being played but the slider doesn't move and nothing else happens.... Any help would be appreciated
