Subsonic for Roku

Postby AlanLane » Sat Jun 24, 2017 4:06 pm

I have installed the Subsonic for Roku channel on my TCL Roku TV and Roku 2. The Roku TV is 7105X and the Roku Subsonic is version 1.10, build 141266. When configuring the setting for the server address it allows me to enter 30 characters. My server address (along with port) is 34 characters. Due to this I unable to set the proper configuration and connect to my server. I have the same problem with the app on the Roku 2. I have no problem with configuration and connecting to my Subsonic server from the Subsonic app on my iPhone. How can I fix this configuration problem?

Have you tried using on of the short url creators to get around the limitation in the client?

Used TinyURL to finally come up with one that was short enough to fit the 30 character requirement (with :"port #"). Still get an error. Tiny URL worked on my PC. There may be something else going on but the error message doesn't provide much information; "Failed to connect to server".
