Problem Description: I can't stream mp3 from Subsonic to Sonos
Troubleshooting Steps: Added subsonic as a service to Sonos and also enabled within subsonic
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Interface
Subsonic Version: 6.1.1 (build fc853b) – May 31, 2017
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_131, HSQLDB, Linux (103.7 MB / 126.5 MB)
Hardware Platform: Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya 64-bit

I have this installed on Linux Mint and can browse my music folders from within the Sonos App (via virtualbox) and Subsonic Service App. I can also play any file in the Subsonic Service in Sonos. what I can't do is play a mp3 file from Subsonic directly to my Play 1 device. From what i have read this is possible.
I have a dual boot laptop booting both Win 10 and Linux Mint
I replicated this on my Windows 10, where I can access (and play files) files on Subsonic service using the Sonos App, but cannot stream directly from Subsonic to my Play 1. Can anyone please offer some ideas on how I might accomplish this?

Apologies, I was wrong.
I now can't play mp3 from Sonos when I boot my laptop directly to Win10. Sonos can't even browse the library in subsonic service.
I think to avoid confusion it would be best to try and resolve the issue in Linux first
