WMA to MP3 Transcoding Partial Failure

Postby MaddawgX9 » Tue Sep 19, 2017 9:49 pm

While playing wma files (transcoded to mp3 via ffmpeg), the playback will freeze near the end of the song and refuses to move to the next track unless I press the next track button. I'm running version 6.1.1 of subsonic and using the ffmpeg that comes with it. My server is running centos 6. Here is the transcoding I'm using:

Code: Select all
ffmpeg -i %s -map 0:0 -b:a %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -

Any help here is much appreciated.

Looks like these forums are pretty dead. For anyone interested, after hours of researching on this issue, I discovered that my problem is similar to the flac issue the has plagued other users (I don't have any flac files because 128-320kbit/sec sounds fine to me and I like having hard drive space to add more media).

Ultimately, my solution was to use mediahuman's audio converter (https://www.mediahuman.com/audio-converter/) to convert all of the wma files in my library over to mp3. This completely resolved my issue
