last ver. of subsonic w/o file update issues?

newest version of Subsonic doesn't work properly for me (issues with non-admin profile locking everyting out)

What's the last version of subsonic that didn't have issues with music disappearing when it was updated/modified outside of Subsonic?

I guess you have to go back as far as version Subsonic 4.9 - Jan 25, 2014.
Allthough it's none of my business; You could consider keeping version 6.1, but just use an external database. Further details: http://www.subsonic.org/pages/database.jsp

I have the same problem and it is really getting on my nervous.

Is there any way to fix this without losing all settings and Playlists /Ratings?
I have no problem to go into the CLI and redo the database but i really dont want to lose everything.

You could try to copy the backup database back to the database folder.
Stop Subsonic service.
Copy contents of folder .\backup.db to .\db overwriting the content of that folder.
Start Subsonic service.
