double search results for same song

Hi there,

As a newbie in this forum I have the following question...After setting up subsonic server on my raspberry i went for a
test drive and loaded some albums in my music map.

All went well and after indexing i searched for a song, but the search result was not what i expected.
Instead of getting 1 result i got 2, for the same song.
I tried another title from a different album and had the same result, always 2 as a result of the searched song.
When i search for an album containing 20 tracks with the artist name i get 40 track results.
Folder struture is mnt/Drive/Music/Artist/Album/Tracks.

Is this normal or am i doing something wrong, maybe a wrong setting?
I have to mention that i searched through the web interface.

Ok, I've found that when subsonic indexes my music library, it shows 142 indexed total tracks.

But I only have 64 tracks in total, in all albums.
I dont't understand why it indexes 142 instead of 64 actually tracks? Or has the indexed total number of 142 no relevance to total actual tracks?

Hate asking what may be obvious, but have you gone to Settings and clicked "Clean-up database" yet? If files moved or got renamed for whatever reason, the older ones may be sticking around in the database.

AH. At any point were the music folders on or visited by a Mac?

Maybe it is also noting the invisible "._" file names in the file system?

Go into the folder with the tracks and do "ls -asFC" and see what shows up.

I did use the option to clean the database in the settings page, but had no effect.

As a last resort to solve this weird behavior, i created a new map and copied the two albums over to the new map.
I didn’t expect this to change anything, but then again you never know.

Well after pointing the indexing service to the new map and after indexing everything, search worked as it should.....
