Cellular (iPhone7/Verizon) Not Working

I have been using Subsonic for years on iPhones with iSub and other apps. Out of the blue (maybe since iOS 11.*), my connection to Subsonic will stop working when I go from WiFi to Cellular (Verizon). I confirmed the same results on my son's phone as well. I have also confirmed it is not limited to the iSub app by testing on the play:Sub app. I have discovered that turning on a VPN (such as PIA or HotsotVPN) resolves the issue. Any idea what may be causing this issue?

I just set up subsonic on a old mac and I do manage to stream from my iPhone 6s on an home network (well, wifi). However, like you, I experience the same issue When on cellular data. I get several different pop up messages: server not available, Error creating the server shuffle list, error - 1001 loading the album, etc...

I also tried using a VPN (Private VPN) with no avail.

I wonder whether you managed to resolve your issue and care to share the outcome.
