Odd local forwarding problem

Postby calismoonelf » Mon Aug 27, 2018 1:29 am

I'm running my SS on Openmediavault. It has worked fine until recently. I installed Docker and a MyMedia image so I could play my music on my Alexa systems. Since doing that, going to my xxxxx.subsonic.org address from within my LAN, it direts to 172.17.0.1 instead of the proper server. I have since uninstalled MyMedia and Docker. The problem is the still present. No settings in the router have changed.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

If you don't have a seperate DHCP / DNS-server running than your router is the DHCP/DNS-server.
Since the router resolves the name to a wrong ip number I would check the settings in the router.
You could also try rebooting your router.

Try using '--net=host' in the docker invocation and if your router supports it add the 172.blah address as a network routed to your server host. Also, ensure ip forwardng is enabled, should be tho' since I think Docker does that.
