Update Remote Sonos IP Address

My Subsonic server IP address changed and my remote Sonos users can no longer connect. Is there a way to edit their EXISTING settings, by simply updating the IP address, or do they have to start over, as if they were adding an all-new Subsonic server to their Sonos controller? Thanks!

I hope anybody would help here. It is anoying to reenter the IP adress each time my subsonic server changes the IP Adress. I dont have a fixed IP Adress. Is there any work around here. It would be nice to get some help

I don't use Sonos but you can give your Subsonic Server a fixed Adress. Sonos and the Server will use internal IPs, so one way is to investigate the Router settings to give the Server always the same IP or you can give the Server himself a fixed IP.
At Windows go to system, network, Adapter settings at Linux you have to edit a configuration file by hand that differs a bit which OS you are using but a search engine will help.

thx for your prompt reply. The Server and subsnic have a fixed internal IP adress. The Problem is, if you want to reach the server from Outside with Sonos, you need to register the Subsonic service with the outside IP adress of the server. Since I don't have static or fix outside IP Adress, you need to reregister the Subsonic each time your outside IP adress is changed.

http://www.subsonic.org/pages/sonos.jsp - Here you can see how to register the subsonic service from outside. The subsonic_IP is the outside ip adress of the server. If you could enter the easy to remember adress XXXX.subsonic.org, everything would be perfect.

There is no problem to find similar services for free, but I'm sorry if you have money for expensive sonos speaker, pay the 1€ per month and support the coder.
No help from my side ...

Sorry if you really don't know, sure I will help.
If you buy Premium you can have a domain like yourname.subsonic.org, see subsonic settings -> Network
Once you are premium and have your domain subsonic will send always the new IP to the domain and so Sonos can access always by http://yourname.subsonic.org:4040 and so on as needed for SONOS.

Since I can't effort Sonos and I can't Test it, send me an PM and I give you an Test account. Even if I'm Premium, I don't use the subsonic service, I have my own domain, but it is identical to the subsonic service.
There is no need to enter the IP of subsonic. An example https://google.de is the same like https://216.58.205.227 hope that is clear
