Trouble auto-importing playlists

Postby xaphoo » Wed Nov 18, 2020 2:02 pm

Due to a computer failure, I've just moved my archive of music to a new PC, using the same old hard drive, keeping the same drive letter. Reinstalling subsonic and pointing it to the music archive is no problem. However, importing the playlists is not happening for some reason. I've gone into the "General" tab and specified the path (D:\Playlists). Just to be safe, I've also specified that same path as one of my media folders.

Subsonic is on C:\, the media and playlists are on D:\.

After a few days my playlists still haven't been scanned. They are all .m3u files. My previous Subsonic setup read them fine.

Normally you manually request the playlists to be imported, there not scanned automatically.
See the bottom of the Playlist page and select the Playlist Import function.

I'm very sure that in the past I was somehow auto-importing them, or at least auto-updating them. My folder full of .m3us would get continually modified by my media app (Musicbee), and as these files changed Subsonic would pick them up, usually with the next daily scan.

I can manually import these, but I know I used to be able to rely on them auto-updating somehow, in a hands-off way.
