Subsonic + WHS + Port 80 = Slow traffic speeds

Hello all,

The question i'm asking is a bit specific, but might have a broad answer.

I run my instance of Subsonic on a HP Media Smart Server ex495 which runs a default website on port 80.

I have Subsonic setup on port 8080, but have external port 80 send traffic to internal port 8080 on my router. I do this because the place I work at doesn't allow traffic through 8080. I'm able to reach Subsonic now, but load times are slower when I come through 80.

I was able to compare loading speeds at from a friend's place by connecting through 80 and 8080.

Can someone tell me why there is such a slow down when I connect through 80 vs 8080.
