Mac OS X install for non-techheads?

Postby Photonboy » Fri Jan 29, 2010 4:37 am

I would love to see a version of Subsonic for OS X that installs like any other OS X program: Double-click on an installer, make a few configuration choices, stream your music. :)

I have looked though a bunch of the forum topics related to installing on Mac OS X and have concluded that if you are not tech savvy and able to mess with the operating system through the terminal you are likely to damage your computer. :(

The thought of entering potentially dangerous commands, without understanding what they are doing and that can screw up your computer is a scary thought.

Does anyone know if somebody is working on a Mac solution for the every day computer user? :?:

I have many gigabytes of music, mostly live shows that are not available anywhere else, that I would love to be able to stream at work and friends houses with my macbook, but not at the expense of damaging my computer. :?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers.
