Android "Save To Phone" doesn't work with Airplane

I can't play songs I've "saved to phone" when in airplane mode. Can the album list be cached locally, at least for albums with songs I've saved to phone?

Would be great, especially for those of us that travel a lot, or live in cities and take the subway!
