Same issue here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13960

I tried the remove/cleanup/add trick and that found all but 9 files. I'm trying to track down the exact files that are missing for some more info.

:!: :!: OK, I found the missing 9 files on my system, the problem was this album

Metallica/...And Justice For All/

 For some reason Subsonic refuses to parse directories with leading periods, and also does not produce any errors when this directory is skipped. If someone points me toward the scanning code I might be able to fix it.

This bug was reported 3 years ago:

Ok, maybe one of the devs can fix this line of the code. The bug is right here:

https://sourceforge.net/p/subsonic/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/subsonic-main/src/main/java/net/sourceforge/subsonic/service/MediaFileService.java#l410

Any direcotry that starts with '.' is excluded. I don't think you want to be this greedy when excluding directories.

Oh hey your right I didn't even realize it skipped that folder. I just looked and no ...And Justice For All. That is irritating but at least there is a work around once you know about it.

I encountered this years ago..simply renamed that album without the preceding periods. Done. :)

Uncheck any directories in "Media Folders" that have folders or files that are not showing.

Save

Click on Clean-up database

Scan media folders

Recheck all folders

Save

Rescan

Enjoy music :)

I created an account here just to say THANK YOU for completely fixing this problem for me!

This solution works absolutely perfectly!

I cannot thank you enough. You rock man.

Whilst this did work for me, I have to do this either every time I add a new album or at least once a week to pick up new additions. This is February 2014 and this problem is still happening. Very frustrating.
