Also try to telnet to the ip address on port 4040, ie. Start -> Run -> cmd -> telnet 192.168.1.1 4040. The ip address needs to be the public ip address provided by http://whatismyip.org/ and make sure you are on a different internet connection. When successful the command line will go blank. This will prove the port is open to the outside world.
