Yeah, I figured you might have some other content in G:\Music that you didn't want indexed and shared.

What I meant was to add G:\Music\Incoming as a 2nd Shared folder. That way, the G:\Music\Incoming folder is seen by Subsonic, but not any of the other content in the G:\Music folder (except G:\Music\MP3's).

Now I'm feelin' ya. I tried what you suggested and it worked! :D In the Subsonic settings I now have these two folders, the second added as you suggested:

G:\Music\MP3's
G:\Music\Incoming

In the code I used:

Code: Select all
<td><input type="text" id="dir" name="dir" readonly="true" size="37" value="G:\Music\Incoming"/></td>

and that did the trick! I hope this helps others who are trying to do the same thing. 8)

I'd fathom a guess that this is bc subsonic only lets you access folders that you have "given permission" to (added as a share).

Yes, uploading is not allowed outside of defined directories. You can filter the tree view now based on those folder.

Also is there a way that i can limit what kind of files can be uploaded i.e. exe
