Can connect via internet but not locally over WiFi

Nope. Using wifi on the internal Nat address doesn't work either.

In summary: using wifi I can't connect internally or externally using the application. Using the browser I can connect no problem.

With LTE I can connect via public address using the app or the browser.

I guess start form scratch. Open a terminal window on your phone connected to wifi, and ping the server...I'd also delete the app, and re-download from Market.

I solve this by having a 'Home' server entry (192.168.x.x:4040) and an 'Away' server (my subsonic.org addy).

But I couldn't get it to connect to the home server ever....

I'll reinstall... But i managed to ping and managed to detect that the server port is open by telneting to it using the nat address

Reinstalled app on the mobile device but not joy.

If i turn wifi off connection works no problem using the public address. Turn wifi on and no connection on either private or public address.

Perhaps try restarting the app (fully closing it, then opening it) when switching between cellular and WiFi.

Can't tell what is going on and running out of options.

The whole purpose of using Subsonic is to listen to my music over wifi, which seems is not going to happen...

Check your pm box, and also try downloading another client (DSub,etc.) to attempt to narrow down the problem.
