Cannot connect to server from iPhone app

Hello everyone. I wanted to help offer a potential solution.

I tried forwarding the port manually, turned off auto detection on the Subsonic server, and port forwarded through my Linksys WRT54G. Yet still it was not working over 3G. I wouldn't say I'm an expert but I have successfully configured subsonic numerous times at my old place. I just moved however, and nothing was working despite everything being set up correctly. I am also on a wired ethernet connection.

Here's what worked for me: Set up Subsonic in the web settings to auto detect using UPnP. It should say "Successfully forwarding on port 4040" - or whatever port you are using. I am also using a custom domain name which should say "yournamne.subsonic.org responded successfully" when configured correctly.

Go into the "Security" settings in the router settings and uncheck the radio button marked "block anonymous internet requests" under the firewall section. You should still leave "firewall protection" enabled however. Once this was done iSub began working over 3G so if all is well and it's still not working you should check your firewall settings.
