Do you know how to access the router's management pages?

when I go to my at&t uverse wireless router settings page the ip address shows as 192.168.x.xx.

this is what I can not understand,

I used the Portforwarding setup static ip address program from portforwarding web site and now is say that my ip is static,
y is the ip different in my router settings page than the public ip, and does that matter, and to reply to the previous comments I just reboot the router and the computer

99.32.36.xxx is your EXTERNAL ip address assigned by your ISP.

192.168.x.xx. is your INTERNAL ip address assigned by your router.

so what what you can tee it sounds normal right, the ip does not change,

PS going over the 2nd post again

If Subsonic is opening on the right port internally, it will open when requested from outside and present the logon screen if the port is forwarded properly by the router.

You MUST verify that the port is open by using canyouseeme.org. If that doesn't work - the port is NOT open.

No two routers are the same, all the setup screens very greatly among different mfgrs. and models. If you tell me what model you have I will try to find the manual and walk you through. If your not comfortable showing your external ip, you can send me a pm if you'd like me to test and see if the logon page comes up. There is no security risk as hackers routinely scan all ip addresses all the time looking for ports that are not protected. Your Subsonic program is protected by the logon security, and if it were breached, the hacke would only see your Subsonic application.
