In case anybody drops in to this thread, and wonders how to disable the latest flash plugin in chrome (and wants to enable previous one) just follow this procedure:
1.- head on to the 'omnibar' at the top (or press CTRL+L) and type about:plugins (the chrome plugins settings page will appear)
2.- at the top of the page you will have a summary of the plugins installed (and at top right there will be something like + Details, click on it and a more detailed view will come up.
3.- If you have installed other flash plugins (I mean other than the one that comes with google chrome, for instance if you have installed ubuntu restricted extras you also installed another flash plugin...)
