Hi all,

I found a huge log file (c:\subsonic\db\subsonic.log - 148Mb) and was wondering if it is safe do delete it, and in this case, what to do in order to avoid wasting disk space like that
Here is a sample of its content

/*C1*/SET SCHEMA PUBLIC
CONNECT USER SA
DISCONNECT
/*C2*/SET SCHEMA PUBLIC
CONNECT USER SA
DISCONNECT
/*C3*/SET SCHEMA PUBLIC
CONNECT USER SA
DISCONNECT
/*C4*/SET SCHEMA PUBLIC
CONNECT USER SA
DISCONNECT

and it goes on and on...

/*C2605454*/SET SCHEMA PUBLIC
CONNECT USER SA
DISCONNECT

Thanks!

Yes you safely delete it - the easiest way is stop & restart SS which will clear the old log.
That does bring up a good point for all those users who have SS running on a server which is on 24/7.
That log file can grow to quite large size over a period of time - I just checked mine and it was over 360MB in size :shock:

Hi,

I've just stopped SS and guess what... the log file is gone!

Every stop/start seems to delete (not just empty) the log file
It might be useful to schedule an auto stop/start every week or so...

Thanks anyway :)
