Hi just a quick question really

Is it possible to have subsonic and a media folder on 1 ip and another media folder stored on another ip?

ie. 192.168.0.2 = subsonic install and music folder 1
192.168.0.3 = another music folder

or www.website1.com:4040
www.website2.com/mediafolder

If the second "ip" is on the same machine, yes, no problem.
If the second ip is a different machine, yes, as long as it is possible to access those file using SMB or NFS and the account that Subsonic is running under has the proper permissions to access the other computer.

More details on your environment would help me be more specific. ie, what OS's?

I'm running centos on a dedicated server from kimsufi.co.uk

I have 3 dedicated servers in total
2 with centos and 1 running ubuntu

would like to be able to have subsonic one one and have the files stored on another.
shall have another play with permissions and see if i can find a way to get it working

Any suggestions are helpful :)
