Service can't be started after installing license and reboot

Hello,

since I recently got more upload bandwidth, I thought I'd donate and get video streaming enabled.
After installing the license, the system worked OK until the first reboot.
Now the subsonic service can't be started, neither through the subsonic control panel, nor computer management (here it allways fails with Error 1067: "The process terminated unexpectedly")

The environment: XP64 (Java calls it XP 5.2), Java SE 6 Update 35) (Patched for Chumby support)

Checking Computer management - system tools - event viewer - application I see a bunch of:
Description:
Event filter with query "select * from MSMCAEvent_MemoryError where(type=2147811402) and (LogToEventlog<>0)" could not be (re)activated in namespace "//./root/subscription" because of error 0x8004100e. Events may not be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

What can I do? Are this error message and Subsonic no longer starting related?

Addendum

subsonic.log contains:
[2012-09-03 14:30:25,785] INFO DaoHelper - Checking database schema.
[2012-09-03 14:30:26,567] INFO DaoHelper - Done checking database schema.

[2012-09-03 14:32:43,926] INFO VersionService - Resolved latest Subsonic beta version to: 4.7.beta3

There are no more entries into the log file created after the reboot (14:38 h) from when on Subsonic is broken.

Kind regards
Stefan

My guess is that whatever was done to patch for Chumby support may be causing an issue.

I'd uninstall Java, then install the latest version of Java. Once installed, if it fixes Subsonic, then you can look at what can be some to recover Chumby support.

I have several sites running the latest Java release with 4.7b3 and all are running fine.

Hello Gary,

thank you for your advice (it strengthened my confidence in using a beta release on a production server).
Since the Chumby patching was done in Subsonic code (and my Chumbies are down for HW reasons) I left Java alone and just uninstalled Subsonic 4.6 through the control panel and installed 4.7b3.

All is well now :D
Thank you
