4.7 - Search ID3 vs. File Structure

I've scoured the beta threads on the forums, and the newest documentation and I still can't figure out how to sort my collection by using ID3. I was running 4.6 and have removed it completely and installed a fresh install of 4.7.
I'm EXTREMELY anal about how I organize my music, so all my folders are Artist\Artist - Album\## - Artist - Song.mp3. I also have complete ID3 tagging set up. I have 3 root folders set up: Albums, Soundtrack, and Various with the aforementioned folder structure within them. Sorting in Subsonic within the file system works well because all I have to do is drop the box on the left down and select one of my 3 categories. HOWEVER, I don't sort my folders by Genre as you can see. I'd really like to do a Genre search to create a playlist. I have a whole Dance/Techno/Trance genre I'd like to search completely, add to a playlist and just hit random and walk away for example.
How do I go about finding the ID3 sorting/searching. I'd even be happy if I could do both folder / ID3 depending on the day and what type of music I'm looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
