Hi guys,

I'm running Subsonic at home, and I don't have DynDNS/equivalent set up, so I access my server by IP address. This IP recently changed (though is, for the most part, static), so my vanity url is not pointing at the wrong IP. I gave it a couple of weeks in the hope that it would update, but it hasn't, despite me trying to re-sync them on the settings page.

Is there an easy way to re-associate the url with my IP? I'm 6 days away from having to donate, but can't do that if the url won't resolve.

I assume you are referring to your yourname.subsonic.org address.
In which case go to settings/network and hit save.
That will update the redirect server or will produce an error message if there is another problem.

The error message is connection timeout, which is because it is now pointing at my old IP, which isn't listening (if I visit chel.subsonic.org it points to my old IP).

How do I make it update to my new IP? Its been ages, and hasn't automatically updated.

I've tried clicking save plenty :O)

That means it cannot connect to the update server. I would suggest you check with http://canyouseeme.org that the port is still open.
The server requires a static internal IP address - have you set that up?

You have to check the port forwarding in your router to verify that the port is being forwarded to the correct INTERNAL ip address.

Yes - the errors you're hitting are my OLD ip address.

chel.subsonic.org is pointing to http://86.129.96.69:4040/

I need it to point to http://86.129.98.27/music, which is all set up perfectly internally. I can access the site perfectly well by IP, I just need the vanity URL to update.

Any tips? How is the update usually performed?

(and yes, internally I'm static)

What happens when you go to Settings/Network and hit save?

Ports open.
Status: chel.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException) .
