New to Subsonic Cant get library working

Hello,
I just found Subsonic today while searching for a way to play my music library on my phone. It seems like a great piece of software, but the problem is I can't seem to get the configuration going.
I followed the setup steps in the Monroe World article and have the admin account as well as a separate user account. But using neither of these accounts can i view my music.
I have Subsonic pointed to my iTunes library root folder (only contains subfolders, which themselves have music files in them). The iTunes root folder is on a USB attached hard drive.
Running Windows 7 x64

Any help would be greatly appriciated

Read viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10281
It may be the same issue

I read through that post, I don't think it is the same issue. My USB drive is labeled as F:\
Also when I tried the suggestion of making a folder c:\music and populating it with a subfolder and some music files, Subsonic still didn't find any songs.

I think I just found the solution, no where in teh Monroe World article does it mention clicking the Scan now button, I had been under the impression that clicking save would also scan.
Subsonic appears to be scanning my USB drive now, as the indicator LED is flickering like crazy.

It wouldn't do as that only appears in 4.7.
