Not scrobbling to last.fm with android remote control (RC)

Hi, my subsonic 4.7 server works perfectly in all respects but one: when using the Android app as a remote control, last.fm does not register what has been played. I can still see all songs from <user>@android-jukebox under Now Playing in the web interface, and have no problems scrobbling what is played @android, @Web player or @<jukebox>.
My apologies if this is a known error / not yet implemented, but please let me know if this does/not work for anyone else and what I might do to fix it.
As it stands, my OCD dictates replaying the songs with volume off afterwards through another player.. which is a bother

Sorry you had to post twice.
If any Android app users could confirm / deny that this is problem we could determine if this is a general bug or
something not right on the OP's set-up.

Thanks,
Should point out that there seems to be a new version of the android app just released (which I haven't tested yet) - this issue is with the original/prior version.

It might be worth to note that the Subsonic server doesn't scrobble tracks played from apps, it's the responsibility of apps themselves. I can't tell if the android app behaves differently when used as a remote control, though.

@hakko: true that. As BKKKPewsey points out, all we need is another last.fm user to play a few songs through the android app, with & without RC mode enabled. Anyone?

Hey,
Not sure if this thread is dead or not, but I can confirm I am having the same issue with not scrobbling from the @android-jukebox, but scrobbling works from the android app, and directly from the subsonic browser.
Any questions, I'm happy to supply info.
Cheers!

Same issue here. Scrobbles fine when listening on the phone speaker, not when in jukebox mode.
Thanks for looking in to this!

PS. Also wondering if there is any way to control the android jukebox from the browser, for instance to stop it when my phone battery has run out.

FYI: This issue is not present when using the madsonic android app (with madsonic server).

I posted about this over a year ago and only got a response saying its a known issue and being worked on. Guess its pretty low on the priority list.
Here is my thread about it:

You may notice that this thread is even older

I only returned to this (and my other two related threads) to inform other seekers of madsonic as an alternative solution.

Yeah I know its older, I just keep hoping they would fix this issue someday haha. Its great that there is a workaround but I don't use madsonic and would like to keep using it the way I do. Just hoping that if its seen enough it may get fixed.

So, I'm back on Subsonic after 4 years on Madsonic, pleased to see the project still moving ahead!
However it's disappointing to find that this bug is still unresolved, as I can't imagine it would be much work to fix (though I may ofc be wrong). Would you please consider taking a look Sindre? I'd gladly contribute more $$ if that would help.
As before the AudioScrobblerService successfully registeres now playing, but there is no submission (as one typically finds in the next line of the log).
Running subsonic 6.1.1 server w/ UltraSonic android app.
