I was so excited to stumble upon this app that I donated immediately.
I think this is an awesome idea and i can't wait to see how this expands and evolve.
----

I had it working for one night. Next morning, it will not load due to it being timed out.

I have two buffalo routers that are bridged. I am running Windows 7

I have set my ip address to a static ip via {windows} ipv4 properties
Using these instructions http://portforward.com/networking/static-win7.htm

I have two wireless routers that are bridged wirelessly. I have set router 1's {connected to internet} dmz mode to the wan ip of router 2 {static} and i have the ports managed on router 2. Since my computer{server} is connected to router 2 via cat5, I have set any forward ports on my computer's {static ip}.

Subsonic Info
Version 4.7 (build 3106) – September 12, 2012
Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_09, Windows 7 (31.1 MB / 59.0 MB)

And from what i can tell, my ports are open.

I have been trying different things and starting from scratch {deleted c:/subsonic folder} and uninstalled via remove programs in control panels.
I uninstalled java and reinstalled that.
I changed my static ip address of my computer and router 2. I have tried using different ports [8085,8080,4040,2580] I checked off Enable https.
I can not connect locally. And, def not externally. Although, it was fully functioning last night.
I even tried disabling my avast! antivirus. No go. Nothing.

There were times where the status stated something like success forward port 4040.

This is what I am getting when I tried clicking save within the web app.

I just tried clicking save again. And, now it says port forwarding is disabled.

I did some searching in the forums for certain error lines but, I can't seem to find what's wrong.

I am at the end of my wits.
I posted earlier but, I felt I should be more detailed.

Have you checked that only 1 instance of the SS service is running?
I can't understand why the log is showing the delete port mapping twice :?

mm.. There were times where I would click on 'open tray icon'' in the startmenu and it will open another icon in the tray.
But, I would reset the computer to make sure to prevent that from happening or prevent any issues that comes with having more than one icon in the tray.

Is there a way to do a clean install or uninstall? Because I have tried uninstalling and deleting the subsonic folder at C:/subsonic.

What does it mean when the log says delete port mapping?

If you are manually forwarding the port and do not have "Automatically configure your router to ....." selected
then you will see that in the log - Why? IDK but that's normal but you should only see 1 entry.
Seeing 2 entries suggests to me that you may have 2 instances running (and tripping over each other)
If you have deleted the C:\subsonic folder & uninstalled then that should be sufficient.
Reboot pc after then run services.msc and check subsonic has no entries.
Then re-install.

UPDATE::

So, the reason I was getting more than one "deleted port mapping..." is because it does that everytime I hit save at the Network tab.

So I've trying updating the firmware on both my Buffalo routers. Started from fresh default settings on both routers. The setup is the same as before.
I even disabled Windows Firewall. And still no go.

====
Now I get these messages after I hit saved from the Network tab.

Status: Port forwarding disabled
Status: dookie.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

Is there anything else I can do? Are there other logs that I can check? I am running out of ideas.

THIS IS THE MOST BIZARRE BUG EVER..
any information on this would be much appreciated. i would like someone to shed some light on this one.

The major difference from the first working night is that I unplugged the sata cable to my CDROM drive. I thought I plugged it back on but, apparently not.
I was ready to do an overhaul and do refresh to a new system. So, I tried to put my CD in to boot. I noticed that my CD-ROM was not recognized..
I plug the cable in and, thought I might as well. I tried EVERYTHING else. I'm going to test this bitch one last time.
And presto, it works once again.
I would have loved to use this at work but, now that the weekend is here, SS will be a little neglected..
I'm just f*****g glad that it works again. I look forward to coming in to work on Monday.

On the bright-side, I know a shit load more about networking and port configuration. I have a good understanding of this great yet, simple program.

Well, thanks for the little help that I received.
While searching through the forum for any frail information on my issue, I noticed those who whined and moaned would get better replies.
