Problem Description: getting error message "java.io.IOException: Unable to establish loopback connection" on control panel. having to press stop twice, and then start twice to get it to work.
Troubleshooting Steps: looked through forums
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Interface (i assume)
Subsonic Version: 4.7 (build 3106) – September 12, 2012
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_37, Windows 7 (30.5 MB / 62.0 MB)
Hardware Platform: Windows
Java Memory Limit: 150MB*

should i change Java Memory Limit from 150MB? what would that do?
would Problem Filename be the music file i was trying to play?
where would i find Output from ffmpeg?
where would i find Last ten log file lines?

would "enabling https on port '4443'" help?

The standard Windows package is perhaps the easiest, most often successful, install of Subsonic available. I believe that you are most likely just starting to get Subsonic up and running, so the easiest path for you may be to just start over with a clean slate.

Uninstall Subsonic from Control Panel/Programs and Features

Delete C:\Subsonic

Uninstall all Java references from Control Panel/Programs and Features

Install the latest Java from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Reinstall the latest release of Subsonic according to the instructions in the first 2 posts from the tutorial section.

Take some time to read the tutorial section a few times so that you really understand what's happening. Let me know if you run into a specific issue that you have trouble with.

There shouldn't be any need to change the Java memory limit as most of the issues that were related to that were addressed in ver 4.7. I access over 4TB of data with no changes to the memory settings. Further, do not attempt to get ssl working until you have first successfully gotten everything running with http.

i dont really know what http is never mind ssl, so i suppose i agree.

my firefox and subsonic control panel issues seem to have resloved themselves. i assume there was an update i didnt notice.

it started happening again. i dont think i had to stop panel twice and start twice; i think i was being impatient and once on and once off would have worked.
i have done what u suggest GJ51, will gte back to u after a few restarts.

NP - I also recommend Chrome for use with Subsonic. Looks better - fewer problems.
