cant get last.fm to work

Problem Description: cant get last.fm to work
Troubleshooting Steps: pretty much nothing: retried password, searched forum and site for 'last'fm'
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Interface (i assume)
Subsonic Version: 4.7 (build 3106) – September 12, 2012
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_37, Windows 7 (30.5 MB / 62.0 MB)
Hardware Platform: Windows
Java Memory Limit: 150MB
Problem Filename: NA

It's not really clear what your error is, but for your info, last.fm has had some trouble recently registering scrobbles.

We are seeing intermittent problems with part of the scrobbling system. Clients which are unable to submit a scrobble should cache them and retry. Most scrobbles are unaffected. We apologise for any inconvenience and our engineers are working on this.

i cant get subsonic to scrobble my plays.
i tried for first time a few days ago. is there more to it that settings\personal, username, password?

I think that's how it works on Subsonic 4.7, but I'm not using it, so I don't know for sure.

It's also worth to know that songs are scrobbled to last.fm only when played from the web interface. If you listen to music from a mobile app, it's the responsibility of each app to scrobble songs you listen to, so you have to configure them, too.

i think i am using the ss player, i have the box ticked. its says to "remember to set up your last.fm user and password on the subsonic server"

ok. its working.
i uninstalled/reinstalled java and ss.
i think what fixed it was going to server on phone and buting last.fm name and password into it there. sorry if thats what had been said, i thought it was player.
