Maybe you are allocating too little memory to tomcat.
Not sure if it's the same way to configure this on Windows, but here goes:

Add the following line in the file <CATALINA_HOME>/bin/catalina.sh
Code: Select all
JAVA_OPTS=-Xmx128m

Remember to restart tomcat for the changes to take effect

He uses Jetty which is not Tomcat. Anyway it's more or less the same you have to do.
I assume you are using a start script for jetty if not create one.

Here is an example (you don't have to add the path to the java executable - I need it because I've different versions installed and currently backport Subsonic to Java 1.4):
------- startJettyjdk14 -----------------------
D:\Programme\Development\JavaRuntimes\j2sdk1.4.2_15\bin\java -Xmx128M -jar start.jar
-------------------------------------------------

You have to place the start script in the main Jetty directory where you'll also find the start.jar.
