Subsonic Forum

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 with Tomcat6. I tried to upgrade subsonic from 4.6 to 4.7 today, but now it won't launch. What I did:

sudo service tomcat6 stop


Remove these files:
TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/subsonic.war
TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/subsonic
TOMCAT_HOME/work

Code: Select all

cp subsonic.war /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps
sudo service tomcat6 start


If only it were that simple... Now when I try to visit subsonic in a web browser, I get an Apache 404 "The requested resource () is not available."
I hope someone can see what is wrong. My subsonic_sh.log file is here: http://pastebin.com/je2ANh0j

lock file [/var/subsonic/db/subsonic.lck] is presumably locked by another process.

looks like you're running both versions at the same time, have an old unterminated process etc... ?

I found the problem. I think it was unrelated to the log which I posted. The folder /var/subsonic had the wrong permissions. I recreated it and the problem is gone! However, my subsonic installation now has default settings so I'll have to start over from scratch
