Various Problems Please Advise!
GoodEvening,
I am having some trouble with my subsonic server. I am running it on a Linux Box(CentOS) and running Subsonic 4.7.
The first problem I am having is changing the port number to access subsonic. I want to change it from 4040 to a non standard tcp port in the 53000 range. I know theres a way to do it because my buddy has done it successfully. I went to the /usr/share/subsonic/subsonic.sh file and changed it from 4040 to the port i wanted, restarted subsonic. After I did this i got a jetty 504 error saying the service was unavailable. I also changed it by using the command "subsonic --port='my port #' and got the same jetty error message even after restarting subsonic. When i used the command it wouldn't even let me revert back to the original port 4040 to access to UI. I had to delete the db folder and restart the service just to get it working again.
My goal is to make it more secure. I will be limiting access to the server by IP addresses in a sonicwall firewall and also in iptables. But i dont want ot have a default port used anymore.
The second problem I am having is adding songs to playlist that are already made. I.E. I have a playlist save it with the songs i want at that time. Then I go and find other songs I want to add to it using the "+" symbol to put it it the now playing section. Once I have the songs i want to add I go to the drop down box, select "add to playlist" and the little pop up box says "Changes Saved" or whatever, go to the playlist, and none of the songs I added are there.
Please Advise any help would be appriciated. I love this program, but i do not love 4.7. I like some of the new changes but it seems like its more buggy then ever before.
Best regards,
