Hey, I've been using subsonic for about 2 years now. Donated almost immediately after trying it. I just did a clean install of windows on my server computer and now it says my subsonic is unregistered. I tried inputting my email to resend the activation key but it claimed to not recognize the address. I don't understand how it's unregistered now, I thought that would be handled by the subsonic servers. Either way I'd like to have it reactivated again.

Just copy the licence number, that you received by email, when you donated, back into SS

Well if I had the key, why would I post here looking for it. Again, the original email I recieved a year ago now with my key is gone. When I try to have the key resent, it doesn't work. I don't understand how only after a clean install my subsonic was no longer registered. That means registration information is stored on MY computer which would make it incredibly easy to spoof activation. That's besides the point though, because I paid my donation, and now I'm without a key.

it used to be that the code was just the md5 hash sum of your email address. I'm not sure if that's true anymore, but you could try generating your code here by entering your email:
http://www.md5.cz/can't tell for sure if it will work, though.

Ok so lo and behold the would be 30 day trial just ended and even though I thought this md5 key thing worked, it didn't. So I am again without subsonic, even though I have already donated. I don't know why I cannot resend my activation but it will not let me. Again, this all happened just after I reinstalled windows. I didn't think of any effects it would have on my server but I really want it back :'(
I read some other forum posts and saw that even though it SAID my key was accepted, when I looked at my server log, it says authentication failed and is now acting as if I used a 30 day trial which is now over. Please help me out, my gf is in the hospital and is growing ever tired of basic cable

You could always try and email
sindre@activeobjects.no and explain your situation.

idk what's going on anymore. I cannot register any personal server name to work, and I cannot connect even to my public IP. The ports are forwarded, and I've even JUST redonated and registered the server but still no internet access. I just want my old domain, which was working a few hours ago, to start working again the way it was, but now it just says that it's registered already and that I can't use it, and when I try to connect to it my browser just downloads a file called "download". I'm too tired to work on this anymore tonight, hopefully I can get a complete answer by tomorrow. Thanks a lot for the help though, I really appreciate it!
I especially don't understand because if I go to my desired personal domain from the host computer (awesmazing.subsonic.org) it brings me to my login page no problem. But within settings from there, it says the domain is taken and I cannot connect to the server over the internet, specifically 4g on my phone.

Someone please help

I'd really appreciate a live help if anyone can offer it either through text or ventrilo or whatever, I feel like it's a simple problem that just can't be fixed on my end. Like I said, end result, I just want internet access with my old personal domain again which I lost after reinstalling windows and gained back under a trial period which is now over. I've donated a second time and my server log recognizes me as a donater only my personal domain says that it's taken and even one that is not taken and says ok does not let me connect over the internet. Thanks in advance, you guys are very helpful

Yes I got a new key... It was the exact same as my self generated key, but this time it worked... go figure. I guess the second donation is what did it... Im not sure, either way, now im donated and my server isnt running, I sent you the PM if you happen to read this before you read that.

FINALLY success! As of right now, I've gotten chochocho.subsonic.org to work over the internet. For whatever reason it didn't like port 442 even though I used it recently with no problems, switching to 441 solved it. As well as port 81 switched to port 8080 even though 81 also worked in the past... The ONLY problem now is that I cannot get my desired personal address back, awesmazing.subsonic.org
I will touch nothing from here on out as chochocho.subsonic.org is REACHABLE from the internet and I am very very tired. Not sure what needs to be done to get my old domain back but if it can be done I'd really appreciate it. Sorry again for all these long winded messages it's just, without subsonic, I've had a very dull entertainment life lol...
