[bug] track auto-progress fails or breaks track
Hi, I have a bug to report.
Firstly, I'm listening on a managed computer running Scientific Linux 6. This means fixes such as updating the browser or plug-ins are not an option. I have full access to the server, just not the computer I'm streaming on.
Running Subsonic 4.7 on Ubuntu jetty-6.1, java 1.6.0_24
Current browsers for playing are
FireFox 10.0.8 - JW player 5.10.2295 - Flash player 11.2.202.238
Chrome 21.0.1180.75 - JW player 5.10.2295 - Flash player 11.3.31.225
The bug: Firefox never automatically changes track. When it reaches the end of one it just stops playing like it's the last track but there's still the speaker icon next to the track that just ended. If I click 'next' or on any track it starts playing that track.
On Crome it used to change automatically but since updating to Subsonic 4.7 (trying to fix the firefox bug) when it comes to change track it plays the first few frames of the file and then stops in the same way. If I then try to play that track again in Chrome it just won't. I get the same few frames of the track and then it stops again. Tracks that individually worked in Crome are subsiquently broken if they are the 'next track'. Restarting chrome doesn't seem to fix this but the track still works in firefox so I susspect it's a buffer clearning problem.
I cannot be sure that the browser and plug-in version hadn't changed around the same time I updated subsonic as I seem to remember it did work for a while in Chrome after updating subsonic.
I hope this information is sufficient for someone to figure out what's going on and if it can be fixed.
Edit
It seems updating to Firefox 10.0.10 fixed this problem for Firefox. This is with the same player versions.
