Have followed Port-Forward, Still no Internet Connect???

Postby onewalrus » Tue Feb 26, 2008 4:07 am

Hello,

:?:

I previously had Subsonic running perfectly under a Windows v.3.3 installation w/o router, but after reconnecting my router (Linksys) I am now unable to setup a working post-forwarding configuration.

I have the Subsonic server set to port 1151, "Context path - subsonic.

I have a static IP, and have forwarded port 1151 in the router.

I have opened port 1151 inbound and outbound TCP/IP in McAfee firewall.
(Previously configured and working w/o router on port 888, but not now)

I have given Subsonic.exe "full access" in McAfee firewall.

Subsonic is running as a Windows-Service.

I can connect locally (localhost).

All attempts to connect through internet result not in a "cannot connect to the server" message, but "the server is taking too long to respond". ???

Can you connect to this server?

http://75.71.166.243:1151/subsonic/

Any troubleshooting assistance would be greatly appreciated. This is a premium program and I hope to get it up and running again soon!

Thank you,
Pablo :?: :?:

I could not even ping 75.71.166.243

And a tracert do not get me to that address either:

C:>tracert 75.71.166.243

Solved!

Previously, the McAfee Firewall was running only without the Windows firewall. Recent changes in McAfee now have them running side by side.
It was an easy fix (of course) and now I feel like a complete idiot for not having checked that sooner!

Duh!
