Installing Subsonic on a shared hosting service??

Hi there,

I just discovered Subsonic and I am thrilled with the prospect of being able to take all my CD collection on-the-go. However, I have a newbie question which I would appreciate some guidance with: I have a paying commercial shared hosting service, Awardspace (Linux based, although not sure which flavour) and I would like to install the Subsonic software there. Nevertheless, the provider only allows me to 'upload' files and modify things like my config.php, create SQL DBs, etc. but I am pretty sure they won't allow me to execute 'sudo' commands or anything that implies admin access. Can I still install Subsonic then?, how?

Thanks a lot.

You can't install Subsonic on shared hosting services.

However, you can install Subsonic on a VPS plan, such as:
