Getting help

Postby Spereira82 » Sat Dec 29, 2012 3:49 pm

I am currently leasing a subsonic music server from gigapros. I'm not sure if my lease payment is paying you anything, so I don't know my status as a customer. I am more than willing to pay for support.

I have a couple of issues that may or not be problems.

When I log in as admin, the album covers begin to populate the screen then blink and they disappear. I am having what may be a similar problem with my iPhone app, isub. I try to load songs, etc., it flashes and nothing comes up. But it will play songs in a playlist.

I am lead to believe that maybe I have loaded a song that the system doesn't like. Maybe wrong format, drm, characters is the song name, folder, something corrupt.

Do you have any suggestions for me to diagnose or locate where the problem may be. It is very frustrating. I would also be willing to give someone the admin log in if they need to check around.

Thanks in advance

The flashing covers in the web browser interface is an Internet Explorer issue. Either click the little broken page icon on the tool bar to run it in compatibility mode, or use a better browser... Subsonic works VERY well in chrome.

As to your playlist issue, try playing the playlist in the web browser... it will stop at the bad song.

As to who you are paying, did you have to register subsonic in addition to the monthly fee with gigapros? Maybe as part of the setup fee? If so, that is the only part that Sindre gets. But we don't get anything but your eternal gratitude... this is a volunteer user forum that Sindre participates in very infrequently.

Thanks you very much. I will try this right away. I feel like an idiot for not thinking of just playing the songs till they stop. :)
