I am new to subsonic and it has been working great. I am able to scrobble my listened tracks from my PC, however when I play tracks from my android it does not scrobble. One of the main reasons I decided to use subsonic is that I would be able to stream my entire music library while I am away from home AND that I would be able to scrobble the music I listen to while I'm away from home. Hopefully someone will be able to help me out.

The Subsonic server doesn't scrobble songs played from apps. The reason is that the server cannot distinguish what you're listening to, and what you're downloading for caching reasons (or listening to twice). You have to configure your app to do the scrobbling for you.

How do you configure your app to do the scrobbling for you?

Go into the settings of the Subsonic app and set your last.fm logon info in there.

When I go to settings of the subsonic app, under "other settings" there is a setting "Scrobble to Last.fm" which I have checked. That is the only place on the app that has anything about Last.fm

You also need to setup "scrobble to last.fm" within the subsonic settings (PC). It's in the Personal section of the settings.
You also need a last.fm account.

I did that. It will scrobble when I use the player on my PC, but when I listen on my android, nothing scrobbles.

In the mobile application... not the web interface. On your phone, go to settings, and set your info.

The clients don't have you directly input your credentials, you just have to check the check box which he says he already checked. I have no clue why it isn't working from there though.

I know, it's annoying. I am enjoying subsonic other than that. But scrobbling is very important to me. Is anyone else having this problem? Are other people able to scrobble from the android app no problem? I'm thinking about uninstalling the app and reinstalling it and seeing if that works.

Just checked and sure enough it is scrobbling correctly for me.

Good news everyone! I got it to work. I logged in as admin instead of a user account that I had created the first time. Scrobbling beautifully!

I have the same problem.
Cant get the android app to scrobble...

scrobble is fine in the browser (using admin user)

in the android app the scrobble is activated and log in with admin user also.
