Server concurrency

I'am looking for a music streaming server, which will be publicly used (enterprise). Subsonic seems like more dedicated to private users. My question is, how many users can be connected and gets stream
at the same time? Will be there or had someone experienced any concurrency issue on massive streaming ( like 1000 users connected at the same time)? I appreciate in advance for all your answeres.
